Mr Erkki Keldo Minister for Economic Affairs and Industry Estonia
Dear Minister Keldo,
I am pleased to invite you to an informal Ministerial dinner hosted by Strategic Perspectives, to be held on 27 May from 18:30 to 21:30 (welcome drinks from 18:30, with the discussion starting at 19:00). It will take place at the Sofitel Brussels Europe, Pl. Jourdan 1, 1040 Brussels, Belgium, and will be held in English.
As the industry in Europe is increasingly under pressure, restoring its business case to produce, innovate and decarbonise locally becomes a key political priority for the EU’s economic security and global position. This dinner will bring together Ministers from several EU Member States, along with a small number of industry representatives, to have an open and constructive discussion on how the Industrial Accelerator Act can contribute to the goal. Ahead of the Competitiveness Council, we aim to identify potential points of convergence on an effective and targeted Made-in-Europe and lead market policies that help secure investments in European value chains, attract investment, and strengthen the EU’s position globally.
We will start with a short scene-setter based on our briefing paper, followed by two short interventions from industry representatives on the role of a Made-in-Europe policy in securing investment across EU value chains. An open discussion will then start.
We would be honoured by your presence and contribution to this important conversation.
Please note that this is a personal invitation for you and a +1, and we are not foreseeing virtual participation. Please RSVP by 6 May to [email protected] and [email protected], including your name and job title, your +1's name and job title, and any dietary requirements for your delegation. The dinner will be fully vegetarian.
I very much hope that you will be able to join us for this timely exchange. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further information.
Yours sincerely,
Neil Makaroff Director, Strategic Perspectives
