Invitation to speak at the European Health Forum Gastein 2026
Dear Minister Joller,
I am delighted to invite you to speak at the 29 th European Health Forum Gastein, taking place from
29 September – 2 October 2026 in Bad Hofgastein, Austria, under the theme Health for a stronger
European Union – high time for action!
We would be honoured to involve you as a speaker in this year´s conference programme.
Opportunities where we could offer you an active role include the following:
• Speaking in one of our three EHFG plenary sessions between Wednesday 30 September
and Friday 2 October 2026 (on competitiveness, preparedness, geopolitics and innovation);
• Participation in the invitation -only Gastein Policy Dialogue held in partnership with the
European Observatory on Health Systems & Policies on the evening of Wednesday 30
September;
• Contribution to conference sessions on various EU health priority topics;
• Participation in a press point with international media on 30 September or 1 October;
• Bilateral meeting opportunities with other Ministers and senior stakeholders attending the
conference.
The annual European Health Forum Gastein is a leading independent, not -for-profit platform for
intersectoral policy dialogue on health, solidarity and equity in Europe and beyond. As a neutral
and inclusive space, the conference brings together experts and decision -makers from the public
and private sectors, civil society and science and academia to tackle Europe´s most pressing health
challenges. Please t ake a look at EHFG at a Glance and our EHFG 2025 Outcomes to find out more
about us and for an insight into the proceedings of last year´s conference .
Our 2026 main theme - Health for a stronger European Union – high time for action! Europe stands at a pivotal moment for health and well -being. Health is both a social good and a
strategic pillar of European unity, resilience, and competitiveness. Recent crises reveal the limits of
fragmented national responses and weakened solidarity. A stronger European Health Union must
be part of a broader vision that reinforces shared values and safeguards the EU’s capacity to act
collectively. A Europe fit for the future begins with healthier people - through collaboration and
solution -oriented dial ogue, the EHFG will provide a dose of sanity in this polarised world!
We hope that you will accept this invitation to join us in Bad Hofgastein at the end of September! For further information or to discuss how we can best tailor your participation, please do not hesitate to contact EHFG Senior Advisor Louise Boyle .
Yours sincerely,
Dr Clemens Martin Auer President European Health Forum Gastein
