C. 9313 The International Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents its compliments and has the honor to invite representatives of Members and Observers to the Fifty-Third session of the Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore (IGC), which will be held in hybrid format at WIPO headquarters in Geneva and via an online platform from September 16 to 25, 2026. The Sessions will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (CEST) each day. The Draft Agenda (document WIPO/GRTKF/IC/53/1 Prov.) is available on the WIPO website at: https://www.wipo.int/meetings/en/details.jsp?meeting_id=90652. Other working documents will be made available in due course. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English, Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish. In order to facilitate registration and participation, all participants are required to register online at: https://www.wipo.int/registration/en/form.jsp?organization=WIPO&registration_id=649, using the following code: FT73LT32GA. It would be appreciated if participants could register online as soon as possible and no later than August 14, 2026. All participants are kindly requested to respect this registration deadline so that all the necessary procedures can be completed to enable access to the remote participation platform. The registration form will allow representatives to indicate whether they will participate in the meeting on-site or remotely, and whether they expect to have a speaking role. Participants who indicate on the registration form that they will participate remotely will be contacted before the start of the session concerning the technical modalities for accessing the meeting via the online platform, and will be invited to a short, individual connectivity test/training session before the meeting.

Member States are encouraged to provide the Secretariat with any submissions, proposals or other documents for formal distribution at the session before August 14, 2026. Documents received after that date will be made available by the Secretariat in the language(s) received; however, translations may not be available in all languages in time for the meeting. Se alienta a los Estados miembros a que transmitan a la Secretaría, antes del 14 de agosto de 2026, todo documento o propuesta que deba ser distribuido oficialmente en esta sesión. Los documentos recibidos después de esa fecha serán facilitados por la Secretaría en el idioma o idiomas recibidos; sin embargo, es posible que las traducciones no estén disponibles en todos los idiomas a tiempo para la reunión. La OMPI fomenta la igualdad de género, por lo que agradecemos que se tenga en cuenta este hecho a la hora de designar a la persona representante. C. 9313 Le Bureau international de l’Organisation Mondiale de la Propriété Intellectuelle (OMPI) présente ses compliments et a l’honneur d’inviter les représentants des membres et des observateurs à la cinquante-troisième session du Comité intergouvernemental de la propriété intellectuelle relative aux ressources génétiques, aux savoirs traditionnels et au folklore (IGC), qui se tiendra sous une forme hybride au siège de l’OMPI à Genève et par l’intermédiaire d’une plateforme en ligne du 16 au 25 septembre 2026. Les séances se tiendront chaque jour de 10 heures à 13 heures et de 15 heures à 18 heures (heure d’été d’Europe centrale). Les États membres sont invités à envoyer au Secrétariat avant le 14 avril 2026 toute communication, proposition ou tout autre document pour distribution à cette session. Les documents reçus après cette date seront mis à disposition par le Secrétariat dans la ou les langues dans lesquelles ils auront été reçus, mais il se peut que les traductions ne soient pas disponibles dans toutes les langues à temps pour la réunion. L’OMPI s’étant engagée à promouvoir la parité des sexes, il serait souhaitable que cet élément puisse être pris en considération lors de la désignation du représentant.
