H.E. Mr John Healey Secretary of State for Defence Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom
04.06.2026 no 9-7/26/116
I was deeply saddened to learn of the tragic helicopter crash that occured on the 3rd of June near Sourton, Devon. The loss of three lives is a solemn reminder of the risks that our servicemen take on a daily basis, working tirelessly to ensure collective security and defence. At this time of profound grief, please accept my deepest condolences on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, and the people of Estonia. Our thoughts are with the families and relatives of the victims. The dedication and courage of British servicemembers reflects the highest quality of military service across the globe, and the sacrifices they make in the service of all Allies will not be forgotten. Please be assured of my deepest sympathies. Yours sincerely, Hanno Pevkur Minister of Defence
