Subject: Acceptance letter of the application to register the Estonian Ground Forest
Fire Fighting (GFFF) module in the European Civil Protection Pool (ECPP)
Dear Mr Klaos,
Thank you for the commitment and application to register the Ground Forest Fire
Fighting (GFFF) module in the European Civil Protection Pool for 3 years after its
certification.
My services have finalised the preliminary assessment and confirmed the eligibility of
this capacity for the Pool. Therefore, we can move forward and start the certification
process.
The certification process includes a consultative visit, and the participation in a table-top
and a field exercise. We advise you to register the module in the upcoming exercise cycle
MODEX 13, which is foreseen to start in spring 2027. Beforehand, we will jointly
schedule the consultative visit at a convenient date (preferably conducting it together
with the consultative visit for the Estonian Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)
capacity). At the end of the process, when the ECPP certification is granted, you will be
invited to register the capacity as part of the European Civil Protection Pool in the
Common Emergency Communication and Information System (CECIS).
My services remain available to provide you with further guidance on administrative and
operational matters related to the ECPP at the following address: ECHO-EUROPEAN-
Thank you again for your commitment to support the European Civil Protection Pool. I
look forward to continuing our cooperation for further strengthening the Union Civil
Protection Mechanism.
Yours sincerely,
