Honourable President,
On 1 November 2026 the honourable Dineke de Groot shall retire as President of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands. On Thursday 29 October 2026, 16.00 hours, a session will be held in the ‘grote zittingszaal’, Korte Voorhout 8, The Hague, followed by a reception.
President De Groot will be succeeded by Vice-President Maarten Kroeze. Mr. Kroeze will be installed as President of the Supreme Court on Monday 2 November, 16.00 hours. During the following reception you will have the opportunity to congratulate the new President.
Formal invitations for both sessions will be sent to you in September.
