I am writing to you on behalf of the Prison Department of the Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs of Estonia.

 

The Estonian Prison and Probation Service launched a charitable fundraising campaign to support the families of Ukrainian prison officers and the families of employees of the Ukrainian Penitentiary Academy affected by the war. The campaign was launched on 4 May 2026 and concluded on 30 June 2026.

 

The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has identified your organization as our cooperation partners. The funds collected during the campaign have been gathered through the National Defence Promotion Fund of the Republic of Estonia, which is prepared to transfer the donated funds to your organization for distribution to the intended beneficiaries.

 

Your organization will be responsible for ensuring that the assistance provided through this campaign reaches the families of Ukrainian prison officers and the families of employees of the Ukrainian Penitentiary Academy. In addition, all necessary documentation confirming that the funds have been distributed to the intended recipients must be provided.

 

Please let us know whether your organization is willing to cooperate in this initiative. If so, we can proceed with the preparation of the necessary agreement and discuss the next steps.
