Your Excellency ,
It is my pleasure to invite you to our annual MSC Technology Security Roundtable 2026, which will take place
in Brussels on Wednesday, November 11.
This June, the European Commission proposed its Tech Sovereignty Package, a major initiative aimed at
strengthening Europe’s technological capacities and reducing external dependencies. The package reflects a
growing recognition that the EU remains deeply reliant on external providers across key technologies,
exposing it to cybersecurity risks, economic coercion, supply chain disruptions, and geopolitical pressure.
Yet, it also raises fundamental questions for Europe about how it can strengthen its technological
sovereignty without increasing digital and cyber vulnerabilities, gener ating inefficiencies, or constraining
innovation and while maintaining and deepening key tech -partnerships across the globe.
As part of the MSC’s Technology Program, this roundtable aims to advance the debate on how to address the
key technological security challenges Europe faces and assess the options to become more independent
while fostering partnerships in a weaponized world. The Technology Security Roundtable will bring together
around 50 senior decision -makers and experts to strengthen the dialogue between key actors at the
intersection of technology and security. The roundtable will begin at 1.30 p.m. at the Royal Library of
Belgium and conclude with a dinner and n ight cap discussion at the neighboring Palais Charles de Lorraine .
The event will be supported by a number of partners and institutions, including the State Office for
Information Security of the Free State of Bavaria.
Please confirm your participation at your earliest convenience via [email protected] . In the
meantime, the MSC team stands ready to answer any queries you or your staff might have .
I look forward to welcoming you to Brussels.
Sincerely ,
Her Excellency
