Letter of Support for the EU4CHILD Project Proposal CERV-2026-CHAR-LITI
To whom it may concern,
The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Estonia is pleased to express its support for the project proposal EU4CHILD submitted by the Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights under the European Commission's CERV-2026-CHAR-LITI call.
We welcome this initiative, which aims to strengthen the effective implementation of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union in child-related proceedings through the development of practical, Charter-based tools and methodologies for professionals involved in child-related proceedings.
Ensuring that children fully enjoy their fundamental rights in judicial and administrative proceedings is a shared priority across the European Union. We believe that the project's focus on the practical application of the Charter, through realistic case scenarios, procedural case files, judicial reasoning exercises and other practical tools, addresses an important need and will provide valuable resources for professionals working with and for children.
Should the project be selected for funding, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Estonia is willing, within the limits of its mandate and available resources, to support the dissemination of the project's results in Estonia. This may include sharing the project's output with relevant national stakeholders and facilitating contacts with competent institutions and professionals, where appropriate.
We are confident that this project will make a valuable contribution to promoting the effective and consistent application of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights in child-related proceedings across the European Union.
