Madam, Sir, I have the pleasure to inform you that the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is
organizing a series of six Online Webinars on the 2026 Edition of the WIPO Examination
Guidelines Concerning the Classification of Goods and Services in International Applications
Under the Madrid System, to be held from October 22 to November 26, 2026. Each Webinar
will be delivered in one of the six official United Nations languages: English, Arabic,
Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish.
The Webinars will be conducted virtually via the Zoom platform and are intended for both
staff of Intellectual Property Offices and Madrid System users.
The primary objective of the Webinar series is to enhance awareness and practical
understanding of the WIPO Classification Guidelines, improve the quality and consistency of
the Classification of Goods and Services in international applications, foster greater
convergence of classification practices among Offices, and contribute to more predictable
and harmonized examination outcomes for both Offices and Madrid System users.
Each Webinar will provide practical guidance on the application of the Guidelines and offer participants an opportunity to exchange views with WIPO experts through a dedicated question-and-answer session. A schedule of the Webinars, together with the corresponding registration links, is attached for your convenience. De mi consideración: Tengo el placer de informarle de que la Organización Mundial de la Propiedad Intelectual (OMPI) está organizando una serie de seis webinarios en línea sobre la "Edición 2026 de las directrices de la OMPI relativas a la clasificación de productos y servicios en las solicitudes internacionales presentadas en virtud del Sistema de Madrid”, que se llevarán a cabo del 22 de octubre al 26 de noviembre de 2026. Cada webinario se impartirá en uno de los seis idiomas oficiales de las Naciones Unidas: español, árabe, chino, francés, inglés y ruso. Los webinarios, que se impartirán de forma virtual a través de la plataforma Zoom, están
dirigidos tanto al personal de las Oficinas de propiedad intelectual como a los usuarios del
Sistema de Madrid.
El objetivo principal de la serie de webinarios es aumentar el conocimiento y la comprensión
práctica de las Directrices de Clasificación de la OMPI, mejorar la calidad y la coherencia de
la clasificación de productos y servicios en las solicitudes internacionales, fomentar una
mayor convergencia de las prácticas de clasificación entre las Oficinas y contribuir a que los
resultados de los exámenes sean más previsibles y armonizados, tanto para las Oficinas
como para los usuarios del Sistema de Madrid.
Cada webinario proporcionará orientación práctica sobre la aplicación de las Directrices y ofrecerá a los participantes la oportunidad de intercambiar puntos de vista con expertos de la OMPI durante una sesión específica de preguntas y respuestas. Se adjunta, a título de referencia el calendario de los webinarios, junto con los enlaces correspondientes para la inscripción. J’ai le plaisir de vous informer que l’Organisation Mondiale de la Propriété
Intellectuelle (OMPI) organise du 22 octobre au 26 novembre 2026 une série de
six webinaires en ligne sur l’édition 2026 des directives d’examen de l’OMPI concernant le
classement des produits et des services dans les demandes internationales en vertu du
système de Madrid. Chaque webinaire se déroulera dans l’une des six langues officielles
des Nations Unies : français, anglais, arabe, chinois, espagnol et russe.
Les webinaires, qui se tiendront en ligne sur la plateforme Zoom, sont destinés tant aux
fonctionnaires des offices de propriété intellectuelle qu ’aux utilisateurs du système de
Madrid.
L’objectif principal de cette série de webinaires est de mieux faire connaître et comprendre
les directives d’examen de l’OMPI concernant le classement des produits et des services,
d’améliorer la qualité et la cohérence du classement de ces produits et services dans les
demandes internationales, de favoriser une plus grande convergence des pratiques de
classement entre les offices, et de favoriser des résultats d ’examen plus prévisibles et
harmonisés, tant pour les offices que pour les utilisateurs du système de Madrid.
Chaque webinaire fournira des conseils pratiques sur l’application des directives d’examen et permettra aux participants d’échanger des vues avec des experts de l’OMPI lors d’une séance de questions-réponses expressément prévue à cet effet.
