HCCH 2026 Focused Circular No 45 2026 HCCH Annual Briefing |
On behalf of the Secretary General of the HCCH, please find attached a letter inviting Embassy officials of HCCH Members accredited to the Netherlands to attend the 2026 HCCH Annual Briefing, scheduled to take place in person at the PB premises (Churchillplein 6b) in The Hague on Wednesday 14 October 2026 from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.(CEST), with the possibility for remote participation. The working language will be English.
Embassy officials are invited to register their participation before Friday 9 October 2026, 5.00 p.m. (CEST) by e-mail to the PB at [email protected], as well as whether they will beattending in person or online. As space in the HCCH conference room is limited, seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Réunion d’information annuelle 2026 de la HCCH

Au nom du Secrétaire Général de la HCCH, veuillez trouver ci-joint une lettre invitant les fonctionnaires des Ambassades des Membres de la HCCH accrédités aux Pays-Bas à assister à la Réunion d’information annuelle 2026 de la HCCH. Celle-ci se tiendra en personne dans les locaux du BP (Churchillplein 6b) à La Haye, le mercredi 14 octobre 2026, de 10 h à 12 h (heure d’été d’Europe centrale), avec la possibilité d’y participer à distance. La langue de travail sera l’anglais.
Les fonctionnaires intéressés sont invités à s’inscrire avant le vendredi 9 octobre 2026, à 17 h (heure d’été d’Europe centrale), en envoyant un courrier électronique au BP à l’adresse [email protected], en précisant s’ils souhaitent participer en personne ou en ligne. Le nombre de places disponibles dans la salle de conférence de la HCCH étant limité, les inscriptions seront acceptées par ordre de réception.

En nombre del Secretario General de la HCCH, remitimos adjunta una carta en la que se invita a los funcionarios de las embajadas de los Miembros de la HCCH acreditados en los Países Bajos a asistir a la reunión informativa anual de 2026. La reunión tendrá lugar en persona en la sede de la Oficina Permanente (Churchillplein 6b) en La Haya el miércoles 14 de octubre de 2026, de 10:00 a 12:00 (hora de verano de Europa Central), con la posibilidad de participar a distancia. El idioma de trabajo será inglés.
Se invita a los funcionarios de las embajadas a inscribirse antes del viernes 9 de octubre de 2026, a las 17:00 (hora de verano de Europa Central). Deben enviar un correo electrónico a la dirección [email protected] e indicar si su participación será presencial o en línea. Como el espacio en la sala de conferencias es limitado, las plazas se asignarán por orden de inscripción.

On behalf of the Permanent Bureau (PB), I am pleased to invite Embassy officials of HCCH Members accredited to the Netherlands to the 2026 HCCH Annual Briefing for Members of the Organisation.
This briefing, aimed at newly arrived officials, is scheduled to take place at the premises of the Permanent Bureau (PB) in The Hague (Churchillplein 6b) on Wednesday 14 October 2026 from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. (CEST), with the possibility for remote participation. The working language will be English.
The briefing will cover an introduction to the HCCH and a selection of its core Conventions, PB operations and cooperation with diplomatic missions, as well as ongoing work, including future meetings. Officials will also have the opportunity to ask any questions about the HCCH and its work. (An overview of Members of the Organisation and the Conventions to which they are party can be found here.)
Officials wishing to attend should register by Friday 9 October 2026 at 5.00 p.m. (CEST) by sending an e- mail to [email protected], indicating the name, title and diplomatic mission of each participating officer, as well as whether they will be attending in person or online. As space in the HCCH conference room is limited, seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
