I’m writing to invite you to contribute to Social Capital 2027, the second global conference of the International Social Capital Association, taking place at Heriot-Watt University Dubai from 17–20 March 2027, with virtual participation also available.

The conference brings together researchers, practitioners and policymakers from around the world to advance understanding and application of social capital across disciplines and fields of practice.

Our distinguished speakers include Beate Völker (Utrecht University), Michael Woolcock (World Bank), Jules Pretty (University of Essex), and many others.

We welcome academic research as well as practice and policy contributions across 11 conference streams, covering the diverse ways social capital is understood, studied and applied. With a hybrid format and flexible participation options, you can contribute in person in Dubai or remotely. If your work engages with social capital, social networks, trust, social cohesion, community, connection or related areas, I hope you will consider joining us.
