Subject: RE: Directive (EU) 2023/970 on pay transparency – outstanding notification of complete transposition and request for timeline
Dear colleagues,
Thank you for your email.
Estonia has currently transposed the Directive (EU) 2023/970 on pay transparency partially and these rules became applicable on 13 July 2026.
Estonia remains committed to upholding EU law. However, the remaining requirements of Directive (EU) 2023/970 that Estonia has currently not transposed, increase the administrative burden for businesses considerably. Therefore, the full transposition of the Directive (EU) 2023/970 requires further analysis and consultations. Due to the complex nature of this task, a definitive timeline for the transposition of Directive (EU) 2023/970 cannot be provided at this stage.
Estonia will keep the Commission informed of any substantial progress.
Kind regards,
Helen Talalaev
