Dear Minister Ligi,
I hope this letter finds you well.
I am writing to invite you to join a high-level discussion on the margins of ECOFIN on 10 November at
15h00, bringing together Eurogroup President Kyriakos Pierrakakis, ECOFIN Chair Simon Harris, Prof.
Enrico Letta, European Finance Ministers and senior business leaders.
As Europe seeks to strengthen its competitiveness, technology leadership and defence preparedness,
secure and high-performing connectivity has become indispensable to both civilian and defence
operations. There is therefore a growing need to embed critical digital connectivity networks more
firmly within Europe’s wider economic and financial policy agenda.
Against this backdrop, the discussion will explore how Europe can support the digital infrastructure on
which AI and security increasingly depend, and what this means for growth, productivity and resilience
amid intensifying hybrid threats. We would be honoured if you could join us and contribute Estonia’s
perspective to this timely exchange.
I very much look forward to hearing from you.
