Tundmatu saatja korral palume linke ja faile mitte avada. Dear Sir
or Madam,
I am contacting you on behalf of OIKANOS Social Cooperative in Greece
regarding a potential European collaboration under the 2026 CERV-DAPHNE
programme.
We are currently preparing the resubmission of SHELDER, a European
project addressing gender-based and domestic violence against older women
aged 60+, with particular attention to women living in rural and
underserved communities.
The previous SHELDER proposal received a score of 87/100 under
CERV-DAPHNE 2025. We are now adapting it to Priority 4 of the 2026 call,
which supports the implementation of Directive (EU) 2024/1385 and the
Istanbul Convention through capacity building and structural solutions
involving public authorities and relevant professionals.
The revised SHELDER will focus on improving the capacity of healthcare
and social-service professionals to identify violence against older women,
provide trauma-, gender- and age-sensitive responses, and ensure
appropriate referral to specialist support services. A further component
will strengthen multidisciplinary cooperation and institutional referral
mechanisms.
An experienced European consortium is already in place. Under the
eligibility conditions of Priority 4, however, we are currently seeking a
relevant national, regional or local public authority to act as Lead
Applicant and Coordinator.
Considering the Ministry of Social Affairs' combined responsibilities in
social welfare, healthcare and equality policy, together with its
experience in programmes addressing domestic and gender-based violence, we
believe SHELDER's integrated approach involving healthcare and
social-service professionals could be highly relevant to your work.
We would be delighted to arrange a brief online meeting to present
SHELDER and explore whether the Ministry of Social Affairs might be
interested in participating in the project in a leading role.
Given the approaching submission deadline, we would greatly appreciate
the opportunity to discuss this in the coming days.
Kind regards,
Christos Acheimastos
