Dear Sir/Madam,
We are contacting you on behalf of EY, which is supporting the European Commission's Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST) in carrying out an evaluation of the Brussels Ia Regulation (Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012) and an impact assessment for a possible future revision of the Regulation.
As part of the stakeholder engagement activity, we are conducting three surveys with the objective of gathering evidence on how the Regulation works in practice, what works well and any difficulties encountered by those who apply it or are affected by it, as well as views on possible future developments. The surveys target Member State public authorities, legal practitioners and professional organisations, and organisations representing consumers, businesses and other litigants.
Your authority has been identified as a relevant stakeholder for the survey of Member State public authorities responsible for justice, consumer protection, economic affairs and related fields. We are particularly interested in understanding how the Regulation operates in practice at national level, including both positive experiences and any challenges encountered in its application, as well as views on possible future developments.
Your input is very important for helping the European Commission understand how the current framework operates in practice, identify any remaining challenges or gaps, and assess whether changes to the Regulation may be needed in the future.
The survey should take approximately: 20 minutes

The privacy notice can be found within the survey. Responses will be treated confidentially and used solely for the purposes of this study. Results will be reported only in aggregated form and no individual respondent will be identified.
