"The Gate to the Sky: Space /or Peace"

23rct November 2026 - Palazzo della Cancelleria, Rome, ltaly

High-Level Invitation

Ten years after the first International Space Forum at Ministerial Level, held in Trento, ltaly, in 2016, the Intemational Space Forum (ISF) returns to Italy, this time to Rome. This special edition will provide an opportunity to reflect on the legacy of the Forum's first decade and to look ahead to its future role as a platform for intemational dialogue and cooperation through space.

The ltalian Space Agency (ASI) and the Intemational Astronautica! Federation (IAF) are honoured to formally invite you to the International Space Forum at Ministerial Level - The Roman

Chapter (ISF 2026), to be held on 23 November 2026 at the historic Palazzo della Cancelleria in Rome.

Participation in the Forum is extended, with particular attention, to Ministers and Authorities responsible for space activities, research, science, technology and education, as well as Heads of space agencies worldwide. Representatives of key non-govemmental organizations will also join the Forum as observers.

Guided by the theme "The Gate to the Sky: Space for Peace", ISF 2026 will explore the role of space in fostering international cooperation and contributing to a peaceful, sustainable and responsible future.

Marking the tenth anniversary ofthe International Space Forum, the programme will look back at the joumey "From Trento to Rom e: Teo Years of the International Space Forum" and at the legacy of previous ISF Chapters, before turning to the challenges of today and to the future role of the Forum.

At the core of the programme, the Ministerial Dialogue will be structured around three interconnected themes:

• The Health of Our Planet - how space can contribute to protecting our planet, strengthening environmental resilience and supporting sustainable development;

• Space Dialogue for the Well-Being of Humanity - how space cooperation can improve people's lives, broaden access to the benefits of space and strengthen scientific cooperation, knowledge and capacity;

• Governance, Awareness, Responsibility- how to address emerging govemance challenges and promote greater awareness, responsibility and intemational cooperation in a rapidly evolving space environment.

These themes will provide a common framework for participating delegations to share their national and regional perspectives, identify key challenges and priorities, and highlight areas where stronger international cooperation - and the ISF in particular - could provide added value.
