Invitation to the annual Danish International Sniper Competition
23rd – 28th JUNE 2024
Commander of 2. Brigade (DNK), Brigadier General Brian Nissen, extends invitations to partnering countries, to participate in the Danish International Sniper Competition 2024, which will take place from 23rd to 28th June, at Borris Live Fire Training Area, Denmark.
Each nation can sign up one team. Should you wish a second team to participate, you can sign up a reserve team. Reserve teams are invited, if slots are available.
1. PURPOSE. The purpose of the competition is to test and develop the sniper teams physical and mental skills, in a broad spectrum of operational situations, as close to reality as possible. One of the key training objectives is to learn and develop individual and team sniper skills and to create an international training environment where experiences can be shared.
2. CONTENT. The competition will challenge each team in different skills relevant to sniper employment, often under stressing conditions including, but not limited to; Advanced Marksmanship, rifle and pistol Field craft skills, including navigation, stalking and observation Physical Fitness
3. PARTICIPANTS. In order to participate, each team must consist of a two-man sniper team. Each nation/unit can bring a coach. Any further personnel attending, will need to be confirmed with POC at registration.
Along with competing teams, 2. Brigade would like to extend an invitation to send cadre personnel from sniper schools or units participating, to be part of the competition staff. The purpose is to optimize training outcome and share experience in planning and executing competitions, and to develop relationship in the sniper community. This provides an additional international element to the overall spirit of the competition, and is therefore highly encouraged. Food and lodging are provided. Please contact POC for further coordination regarding this subject.
4. PRACTICAL INFORMATION Food and accommodation are available for attendees at Camp Borris,
from June 22nd.
Competing teams will bring their own weapons, ammunition and other equipment, which will be stored in the competition armories during the competition. If your team is unable to bring weapons, please coordinate with OPS NCOIC for available weapons to borrow.
5. REGISTRATION. Letter of intent to participate is to be sent no later than MARCH 12th, 2024 to the POC listed below. The following information must be included in the letter of intent:

After this initial registration to participate, coordinating instructions, packing list and further details will be directed to competing teams, through the nation/unit POC. Final registration will be MAY 3rd 2024.
