On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan), 1 would like

to extend a warm invitation to you to visit Taiwan to join the annual “Ketagalan Forum —

2024 Indo-Pacific Security Dialogue” as panelist for the session titled “The Practice and

Challenges ofDigital Democracy” scheduled to take place on August 21, 2024, in Taipei.

Taiwan is a strategic node in the Indo-Pacific, and as such it can play an important role and

make key contributions. The Forum represents Taiwan’s pledge to be a proactive and reliable

partner in the Indo-Pacific. This year’s event consists ofthree sessions, namely “Security in

the Taiwan Strait”, “Economic Security and Economic Coercion”, and “The Practice and

Challenges of Digital Democracy”. Prominent political figures, scholars, experts with strong

military and security background from more than a dozen countries will gather in Taipei to

discuss geopolitical dynamic challenges in the Indo-Pacific region. Through this platform,

attendees are provided with a valuable platform to make connections and engage in

constructive and dynamic dialogues in promoting peace, security, and prosperity in the

region.
