Invitation letter
Dear Sandra, I and Tiit Riisalo, Estonian Minister of Economic Affairs and IT kindly invite you to cooperate in
the framework of the FinEst Industry Competition for youngsters.
Cooperation for this project has been initiated by Ministry of Economic Affairs and
Communications in Estonia and The Chemical Industry Federation in Finland back in 2022,
partnering up also with Finnish Forest Industry and Finnish Food and Drinks Industry and different
industries from Estonia.
The FinEst Industry Competition is an initiative to foster declining STEM skills, collaboration,
and innovation among the younger generation in various industries in both countries and to learn
from each other. The competition provides an excellent avenue for raising awareness among young
people about the modernity within the industries (including developing new materials and
products, digitalization, and automatization) and fostering an understanding of potential future
career paths.
Minister Tiit Riisalo has promised to support FinEst Industry Competition and it is vital to show
that the youth are important in the future of the Estonian-Finnish cooperation too.
We would greatly appreciate if Minister of Youth, Sport, and Physical Activity Sandra Bergqvist
would kindly support this mutual initiative together with the Estonian Minister of Economic
Affairs and Communications. The Estonian Ministry of Education and Research is aware of this
cooperation and agrees with the initiative. We are happy to give more information from both sides
of the organisers, if needed.
With best regards,
(signed digitally)
