Excellency,
It was an honor to meet you in Seoul last March and discuss matters within the field of
digital government between our two countries.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea and the United Nations
are co-hosting the 2024 United Nations Public Service Forum from 24 to 26 June at
Songdo Convensia in Incheon, Korea. This esteemed international event will gather key
stakeholders from over 100 countries, including UN members state governments and
international organizations.
The UN Public Service Forum is the most prestigious international event in the public
service sector. In commemoration of ‘UN Public Service Day (23 June)’, participants will celebrate and share best practices in public service and explore its role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This year’s Forum will be held under the theme ‘Fostering Innovation amid Giobal Challenges: a Public Sector Perspective’.
The world is currently facing unprecedented complex crises driven by rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (Al), significant climate change, and other giobal challenges. The Forum hopes to provide a platform for in-depth discussions on the innovative role of the public sector in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals amidst such crises.
