Accession by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea
The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments and has the honor to notify the deposit by the Government of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, on January 30, 2024, of its instrument of accession to the WIPO Copyright Treaty, adopted at Geneva on December 20, 1996.
The WIPO Copyright Treaty will enter into force, with respect to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, on April 30, 2024.
The list of the States and the intergovernmental organization party to the WIPO Copyright Treaty (status on January 30, 2024) is attached to this Notification.

1 In accordance with the Basic Law of Hong Kong, China, the Government of the People’s Republic of China has decided that the Treaty will apply to
Hong Kong, China with effect from October 1, 2008.
2 In accordance with the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), the Government of the PRC
decides that the Treaty shall apply to the Macao Special Administrative Region. The declaration took effect on November 6, 2013.
3 Applicable to the Faroe Islands as of April 30, 2018.
4 The accession by New Zealand shall extend to Tokelau.
5 Serbia is the continuing State from Serbia and Montenegro as from June 3, 2006.
6 The United Kingdom extended the application of the Treaty to the territories of the Bailiwick of Guernsey and the Isle of Man with effect from
January 1, 2021.
7 The United Kingdom extended the application of the Treaty to the territoriy of Gibraltar with effect from May 17, 2022.

TRAITÉ DE L’OMPI SUR LE DROIT D’AUTEUR
Adhésion de la République populaire démocratique de Corée
Le Directeur général de l’Organisation Mondiale de la Propriété Intellectuelle (OMPI) présente ses compliments et a l’honneur de notifier le dépôt par le Gouvernement de la République populaire démocratique de Corée, le 30 janvier 2024, de son instrument d’adhésion au Traité de l’OMPI sur le droit d’auteur, adopté à Genève le 20 décembre 1996.
Le Traité de l’OMPI sur le droit d’auteur entrera en vigueur, à l’égard de la République populaire démocratique de Corée, le 30 avril 2024.
La liste des États et de l’organisation intergouvernementale parties au Traité de l’OMPI sur le droit d’auteur (situation le 30 janvier 2024) est jointe à la présente notification.

1 Conformément à la loi fondamentale de Hong Kong (Chine), le Gouvernement de la République du Chine a décidé que le traité s’appliquera à
Hong Kong (Chine) à partir du 1er octobre 2008. (Traduction)
2 Conformément à la loi fondamentale de la Région administrative spéciale de Macao de la République populaire de Chine, le Gouvernement de
la République populaire de Chine décide que le Traité s’appliquera à la Région administrative spéciale de Macao. La déclaration a pris effet
le 6 novembre 2013.
3 Applicable aux îles Féroé à compter du 30 avril 2018.
4 L’adhésion de la Nouvelle-Zélande s’étend à Tokélaou.
5 Le Royaume-Uni a étendu l’application du Traité aux territoires de Bailliage de Guernesey et de l’Île de Man avec effet au 1er janvier 2021.
6 Le Royaume-Uni a étendu l’application du Traité au territoire de Gibraltar avec effet au 17 mai 2022.
