Dear Mr. Riisalo,

we are delighted to extend this invitation to you on behalf of the International Astronautica!

Federation (IAF), the ltalian Space Agency (ASI) and the ltalian Space Economy Parliamentary Inter­

Group, to attend the International Meeting for Ministers and Members of Parliaments (MMoP),

tak.ing piace on Sunday, October 13, 2024, in the beautiful Aula Consiliare of Grattacielo Pirelli, in

Milan (Italy), under the title "Space the lndispensable Ally /or Decision-Makers", offering a

distinguished venue for high-level discussions on criticai space-related matters.

The IAF MMoP Meeting is a unique meeting that invites Ministers and members of Parliaments from

around the world to present their nations' space initiatives. Ministers will provide valuable insights

into their countries' space strategies, while Parliamentarians will engage in discussions on relevant

space solutions in their regions.

This meeting also aims to engage policymak.ers from nations that do not yet have space experience,

providing them with the opportunity to listen to the experiences shared by their peers and highlighting

the benefits of space-based solutions.

Each topic will be introduced by a space expert, and attendees are encouraged to give a short

presentati on (1 O minutes) on a relevant space solution in their country or regi on related to the

following topics:

• The sustainability of space activities through international coordination

• Space exploration technologies addressing global challenges

• Climate Change mitigation with space-based solutions at national, regional, urban, and

rural levels

• Space solutions in Risk and Disaster Management aiding decision-makers in the disaster

management cycle

Following the meeting, there will be a Press Conference for participating Ministries, providing an

opportunity to highlight our collective commitment to advancing space exploration and innovation.

Moreover, we are pleased to invite you to a formai dinner on Sunday evening, offering a relaxed

environment for networking and discussions. As our distinguished guest, you will also have the
