PORT STATE CONTROL User Check
User Check of PARIS MoU Access
Action to be taken: The Secretariat kindly request for a user check of the ParisMoU website
1. Website access The members section of the Paris MoU website has restricted access. Only members of the Paris MoU are authorised to have access. Some related organisations like EMSA and the board of other MoU’s can be authorised as well. The member section gives access to (new) papers in draft and reports of restricted data. Use of the content of the member’s section by the public can lead to improper interpretation. It is therefore important to give access to members State officials only.
2. Vulnerability Access to the members site should be properly maintained and at least once a year monitored by the Member State and the Paris MoU secretariat. To maintain a certain level of limited access it is advisable not to use open source E-mail addresses like G-mail, Hotmail etc. Only governmental and certain organisational E-mail addresses are advised, when a user has left the organisation the E-mail access is normally closed by the related organisation. Accepted E- mail domains often can be recognised by the last few letters which are an abbreviation of the Flag or Country. They could also have a recognisable domain name of the organisation like @ParisMoU.org.
We kindly request you to keep our website clean of unwanted “users”.
If you need assistance when you are processing this request, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thanks in advance for you cooperation.
Kind regards,
Lourens van ‘t Wout ICT advisor Secretariat ParisMoU [email protected]
