Dear Sir/Madam,
The European Parliament (EP) has selected Milieu Consulting SRL to carry out a study on “Fostering Climate Adaptation, Regional Resilience and Economic Growth in the European Union using Cohesion policy”.
The primary aim of the project is to deliver and present a study to the Members of the Committee on Regional Development, focusing on how Cohesion Policy supports regions in adapting to climate change, with a focus on potential improvements and optimising its impact in diverse economic sectors. The project should provide concrete policy recommendations relevant to EU decision- making, with a particular focus on the role and competences of the European Parliament.
The research project has been under development since April 2024, and its results are expected in October 2024. The project involves contacts with a wide range of organisations and stakeholders across the EU.
I would like to underline the importance of this study for future EP activities in the field of Cohesion Policy. Therefore, I would be grateful if you could offer the researcher in charge of the study, Ms Mariya Gancheva ([email protected]) and her team, all the necessary assistance for the execution of this project, in particular considering the short timeframe available.
Yours faithfully,
Johannes Litzelmann
