Invitation to speak at the WELT Al Summit on 11 September 2024 in Berlin

Dear Minister Riisalo,

In view of urgent requirements for European competitiveness, WELT is expanding the focus of its Summit series to embrace yet another key topic:

Artificial intelligence and European digital sovereignty.

One of its related challenges: Without a robust, sovereign European cloud and Al offering, Europeans risks non competitiveness and transatlantic dependencies in these fields.

But what could or should sovereign and competitive European cloud and Al options Iook like?

To discuss the way forward the WELT Al Summit invites a limited circle of 50 participants from politics, digital championship, social organizations, defense, as well as board members and CEOs of leading companies.

The number of speakers and the duration of contributions and panels are limited to ensure there is sufficient time for debate. The arrangements for speakers allow you to arrive shortly before your contribution and to leave the conference shortly afterwards if desired. Participants attend the conference throughout the day.

Speakers are weicome to arrive shortly before their contribution and leave the conference shortiy afterwards if desired.

The duration of speakers’ contributions and paneis vary between 30 te 45 minutes (including Q&A).

The Chatham House Rule applies. Statements made at the conference are only published by WELT with the explicit consent of the speaker.
