The Ernbassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Estonia presents its complirnents to the Ministry of Econornic Affairs and Communications and has the honor to inform the latter as follows:
The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) is the core legal institution of the United Nations in the field of international trade law. The election of the rnernbers of the UNICITRAL for 2025-203 1 will be held during the 7911i session of the General Assembly in November 2024, and the government of People’s Republic of China has registered for the election.
China attaches great importance to relevant work of UNCITRAL. As a member of UNCITRAL since 1983, China has been actively participating in the formulation and improvement of international cornrnercial rules, including the adoption of the “Beijing Convention on the Judicial Sale of Ships”. It is believed that China’s re-eleetion would benefit the work of UNCITRAL and promote the fairness, justice and consistency of giobal econornic governance.
It will be highly appreciated if the Republic ofEstonia could lend the valuable support to China in the upcoming election and provide a written confirmation.
The Ernbassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Estonia avaus itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Econornic Affairs and Communications the assurances of its highest consideration.
