Hello everyone,
I hope this email finds you all well.
I’m really pleased to be getting in touch with what may be the final changes needed for the i-Restore assessment tool. Having processed the feedback from different CAB partners, we have made changes in all the areas we can and, in the process, uncovered one or two areas that need some attention.
In the document attached is a list of actions that have been taken thanks to the feedback we’ve received. Importantly, there is a short table indicating some words and phrases that we need to have translated from each partner. These are all a direct result of the comments collected from young people in the sessions you conducted, and we’re delighted that their voices are shaping this tool in such a positive way!
It is our expectation that these adjustments will take less than a day to action. If it is possible to get these translations returned by the end of this week, we will be able to have a completed tool before the start of July! Please reach out if there are any questions or points that need clarification.
Regrettably, I am taking some unexpected leave throughout next week, but if all partners are available on w/c 8th July I shall schedule a call to present the final product to everyone!

1. A range of spelling and grammatical changes have been made in line with all the comments provided.
2. We have translated the ‘accessibility’ toolbar for each partner.
3. There was consistent feedback that all questions needed open-text options available so that young people could share thoughts that weren’t offered. The translations necessary for this change have been listed below.
4. The option, ‘I wasn’t really involved’ has been removed from the question ‘How did you take part in RJ?’ to avoid any confusion. There is an open text box to capture any roles that are not provided in the options.
5. The order of the questions in the survey was changed to improve the flow.
6. There was general feedback throughout different sessions that the question ‘What type of RJ have you experienced?’, was not appropriate for each country. We are looking to replace it with a scaling question asking, ‘How do you feel about the outcome of your Restorative Justice experience?’. The translations necessary for this change have been listed below.
This question will be updated in the software once translations have been returned.
7. Gender icons have been changed to be all the same colour to avoid unintended inferences.
8. ‘Police’, ‘Friends’ & ‘Child protection/Social services’ have been suggested as additional options for the question, ‘Where do/did you access information on Restorative Justice?’. The translations necessary for this change have been listed below.
9. It was noted that the message displayed when respondents pressed ‘No’ to the privacy statement was English. The translations necessary for this change have been listed below.
10. The original phrasing “What was your age at your last birthday?” was identified as confusing, this has been amended to “What is your age?”. The translations necessary for this change have been listed below.
11. The original phrasing “What did you know about Restorative Justice?” was identified as not being time-bound. This has been amended to “How much did you know about Restorative Justice before taking part?” The translations necessary for this change have been listed below.
