Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
My name is Daniel Kulesza, I am currently a visiting lecturer in German Studies at the University of Tartu, working for the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). I am contacting you on behalf of the Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Every five years the Foreign Office, with the help of German partner organisations abroad, surveys the number of German learners and teachers worldwide in order to improve measures to promote German as a foreign language. Would it be possible to enquire how many students are learning German at your university/in your organisation and how many German teachers you employ?
Please find attached a letter from the German Embassy in Tallinn with details of the request.
