The World Health Organization (WHO) presents its compliments to Member States and Associate Members and has the honour to invite them to nominate representative(s) to participate in the 6th WHO Emergency Medical Teams (EMT) Global Meeting, which will take place from 5 to 7 November 2024 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

This Global Meeting will be an opportunity for Member States to interact and exchange knowledge with the global EMT Network and other national EMTs or focal points from their region and around the world, contributing to the building or strengthening of EMT surge response capacities in the country.

This Global Meeting is hosted jointly by the WHO EMT Secretariat and the Abu Dhabi Department of Health, with the support of the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Health and Prevention.

The objectives of the Global Meeting are:

• to gather the global EMT Network, Member State representatives, organizations and partners to take stock of recent health emergency responses and discuss learnings and experiences;

• to provide a forum to exchange knowledge and best practices in establishing and strengthening EMT surge response capacities, either in building own national EMT capacities or in supporting others to build theirs;

• to help advance the science and operations of surge response capacities through participant presentations of leading-edge research and evidence, and of new innovations and technologies;

• to set and galvanize collective actions at global, regional and national levels towards achieving the goal and objectives of the EMT 2030 Strategy, particularly in strengthening national surge response capacities and systems for all countries.

Cette réunion mondiale permettra aux États Membres d’entrer en contact et d’échanger des connaissances avec le Réseau mondial des équipes médicales d’urgence et d’autres équipes médicales d’urgence nationales ou avec des points focaux de leur Région ou d’ailleurs dans le monde, et ainsi de contribuer au renforcement des capacités d’intervention des équipes médicales d’urgence dans le pays en cas d’augmentation de la demande.

La réunion mondiale est organisée conjointement par le secrétariat des équipes médicales d’urgence de l’OMS et par le Service de santé d’Abou Dhabi, avec le soutien du Ministère de la santé et de la prévention des Émirats arabes unis.

Les objectifs de la réunion mondiale sont les suivants :

• définir et favoriser des mesures collectives au niveau mondial, régional et national en vue d’atteindre le but et les objectifs fixés dans la stratégie pour les équipes médicales d’urgence à l’horizon 2030, en particulier pour renforcer les capacités et les systèmes nationaux d’intervention en cas d’augmentation de la demande, dans tous les pays.

Данное Глобальное совещание предоставит государствам-членам возможность наладить контакты и провести обмен знаниями с глобальной сетью ЧМБ, а также национальными ЧМБ или координаторами в своих регионах и во всем мире и внести вклад в создание или укрепление резервного потенциала реагирования ЧМБ на страновом уровне.

Глобальное совещание проводится совместно Секретариатом ЧМБ ВОЗ и Департаментом здравоохранения Абу-Даби при поддержке Министерства здравоохранения и профилактики заболеваний Объединенных Арабских Эмиратов.

Целями Глобального совещания являются следующие:

• провести между глобальной сетью ЧМБ, представителями государств-членов, организациями и партнерами обсуждение мер реагирования на недавние чрезвычайные ситуации в области здравоохранения, а также накопленного опыта и приобретенных знаний;

• обеспечить форум для обмена знаниями и передовым опытом в области создания и укрепления резервного потенциала реагирования ЧМБ с целью либо наращивания собственного национального потенциала ЧМБ, либо оказания поддержки другим сторонам в наращивании их потенциала;

• придать импульс научным разработкам и деятельности в области укрепления резервного потенциала посредством представления участниками информации о передовых исследованиях и научных данных, а также о новых разработках и технологиях;

• определить и активизировать коллективные действия на глобальном, региональном и национальном уровнях для достижения задач и целей Стратегии ЧМБ-2030, в частности для укрепления национального резервного потенциала и систем всех стран.

Pueden movilizarse fondos limitados para apoyar a los participantes de los países de ingreso bajo y mediano bajo y de los países considerados prioritarios a escala regional con el objetivo de apoyar el fortalecimiento de sus capacidades de respuesta a las emergencias sanitarias. Podrán recibir apoyo un máximo de dos participantes por país. Al enviar sus designaciones, los Estados Miembros deben indicar si solicitan apoyo financiero para la participación, y si este apoyo se solicita para una de las personas designadas o para las dos.
