Subject: GLOBSEC Forum 2024: Invitation for Madam Minister Sikkut
Dear Madam Minister,
On behalf of the GLOBSEC leadership, I would like to invite you as a speaker to the GLOBSEC Forum 2024, which will be held on 30 August – 1 September 2024, in Prague, Czechia. We are excited to organise the event with our Czech friends and under the auspices of President Petr Pavel and the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in close cooperation with the Czech government. It offers new opportunities to amplify the political impact on the international stage. The decision is a result of GLOBSEC's long-term effort to strengthen its Central European brand identity, and to diversify its activities across Central Europe.
One of the GLOBSEC’s focus is monitoring countries’ Healthcare Readiness Index to adapt to the new momentum in healthcare systems which GLOBSEC’s health expert Martin Smatana have presented on 10 April during the Rzecznicy Zdrowia conference in Warsaw. Therefore, the program of the event will include a thematic segment dedicated to challenges in the health policy sector, including a discussion by ministers/state secretaries of health of several European countries. The focus will be on healthcare infrastructure, access to it as well as preparedness for pandemics. Among the invited guests of the conference are the health ministers/deputy minister of Czechia, Slovenia, Romania, Poland, Latvia and Ireland. Please, find attached the official invitation, the annotation of the Forum, the snapshot of targeted VIPs and the topical framework.
Dear Madam Minister, we believe your participation would be beneficial. Moreover, we are ready to facilitate high-level policy-shaping discussions on the side-lines of the Forum reflecting your priorities, as well as bilateral meetings with global, and regional leaders.
Over the years, the GLOBSEC Forum has played a crucial role in shaping policy agendas at regional, European, and transatlantic levels, earning recognition as one of the most influential strategic conferences globally. Known for its ability to draw in top decision-makers, the GLOBSEC Forum is where old friends meet, and new partnerships are forged. The Forum annually attracts participants from more than 60 countries and has hosted prominent figures including Emmanuel Macron, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Pope Francis, Jens Stoltenberg, Ursula von der Leyen, Donald Tusk, Roberta Metsola, and Brad Smith, alongside acclaimed intellectuals and a generation of future leaders. To give you a sense of the scale and scope of the event, please find the after movie of our 2023 edition linked here.
Our team is at your disposal and will be happy to narrow down with your office the most interesting and relevant engagements for you during the Forum. Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
We hope that your busy schedule will allow you to join us at the GLOBSEC Forum 2024 and enrich the debates of its 19th edition!
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Milan Solár | |

GLOBSEC is dedicated to promoting international dialogue and cooperation to enhance global securi- ty and prosperity, a commitment that will shape the discussions at the upcoming GLOBSEC Forum. Our discussions will be structured around four key guiding themes:
⊲ (Re)Defining the Global Order
⊲ From War to Just Peace
⊲ Charting the GeoTech Frontier
⊲ Europe’s Make or Break Moment
Together, we’ll delve into the outcomes of the NATO Summit and European elections and engage in forward-looking discussions on upcoming global events, including the US Presidential election and COP29. Additionally, we will foster action-oriented dialogue on topics ranging from furthering support for Ukraine and the progress of EU enlargement to enhancing energy resilience and fostering innova- tion in healthcare.
GLOBSEC Forum 2024
FOUR GUIDING THEMES The global order is being tested on multiple fronts. Russia is on Europe’s borders, and peace and se- curity in Europe’s neighbouring areas are as fraught as they have been in years. On top of this, pivotal elections are taking place across the globe, further adding to the uncertainty. American leadership is in- dispensable across almost every region of the world, and the prospect of the Trump Effect throws into question the future of transatlantic relations, the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, and the handling of tensions in the Asia-Pacific region. We are at a geopolitical moment where the decisions made now will define the future for decades to come. With the EU elec- tions raising many uncertainties, Europe, along with the incoming European Commission and Parliament, must use this opportunity to regroup and prepare for what’s ahead in the region and globally.
The 19th edition of the GLOBSEC Forum is set to captivate the global stage from 30 August to 1 September 2024, in Prague, Czechia. Renowned as one of Europe’s foremost dialogue platforms, the GLOBSEC Forum aims to underscore Central and Eastern Europe’s growing significance in upholding global stability.
With many Central and Eastern European countries celebrating 20 and 25 years in the EU and NATO in 2024, the region’s journey toward peace, prosperity, and cooperation has never been more poignant. In light of this decisive year, the GLOBSEC Forum, under the auspices of President Petr Pavel, will convene leaders from government, business, academia and NGOs to devise strategies to tackle the myriad of challenges we currently face and those that lie ahead.
AN INTERNATIONAL GATHERING More than 1,500 participants from over 70 countries are set to engage in the upcoming event. Alongside the main stage sessions, the Forum will feature various side events and exclusive brainstorming sessions, all aimed at generating workable solutions and formulating strategic plans for the future.
SHAPING THE FUTURE The GLOBSEC Forum is the convergence point for key figures in politics, business, think tanks, NGOs, international organizations, academia, and innova- tion. Together, they forge pathways towards a future that enriches the lives of today and tomorrow. Over the years, Forum has proudly welcomed a distin- guished lineup of guests, comprising of heads of state, global visionaries, and trailblazing thought leaders.
Throughout its history, GLOBSEC’s guests of honour have included Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ursula von der Leyen, Pope Francis, Jens Stoltenberg, Emmanuel Macron, Olaf Scholz, Donald Tusk, Zuzana Čaputová, Karl Nehammer, Arturs Krišjānis Kariņš, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Kersti Kaljulaid, Harjit Sajjan, the late Madeleine Albright, Margrethe Vestager, Joseph Nye, Timothy Garton Ash, Paul Collier, Francis Fukuyama, Brad Smith, and count- less other influential stakeholders.
GLOBAL REACH The GLOBSEC Forum routinely garners extensive international media coverage, with global outlets such as BBC, Euronews, AP, Financial Times, AFP, Euractiv, and Politico, ensuring that the Forum’s dis- cussions resonate on a worldwide scale.
Experience the 19th edition of the GLOBSEC Forum, where we confront the world’s most pressing is- sues head-on and forge innovative solutions. Stay connected for updates and become a part of the GLOBSEC community!
