Dear Sir / Madame,
We are writing on behalf of Intellera Consulting, Fraunhofer ISI, and Trinomics, consortium partners assisting the European Commission in evaluating Regulation (EU) No 1025/2012 on European standardisation (please find attached a support letter signed by DG GROW).
As part of our supporting Study, our next step involves conducting interviews with several stakeholders to further assess the extent to which the Regulation has reached its objectives and investigate possible areas for improvements.
We would be happy to have an interview with you. In case you are available, we would like to schedule the interview at your earliest convenience. We are available in August and September.
Please feel free to suggest you preferred timeslots in these periods. The interview is expected to last one hour (max.), and it will be conducted online.

The European Commission is carrying out a study to support the evaluation of the
Regulation (EU) No 1025/2012 on European standardization. Please note that the
study is conducted by an external consortium.
The aim of this study is to provide information and data for the Commission to evaluate
to what extent the Regulation has achieved its original objectives in term of relevance,
effectiveness, coherence, efficiency, and EU added value.
The external consortium will conduct interviews and targeted surveys to achieve this
purpose. These consultations will be a follow up to the public consultation1 opened by
the European Commission on 02 May 2024 and will deal with different questions. All
personal information collected will remain confidential when being accessed by the
Commission, in line with Regulations (EC) No 45/2001 and (EU) 2016/679 and will be
treated for study purposes only.
