Eesti Aktuaaride Liit (EAL) tähistab oma 25ndat tegevusaastat 27.septembril Tallinnas, korraldades koostöös rahvusvahelise aktuaaride liiduga konverentsi „Forward Together“.
Konverentsil käsitletakse Eesti kindlustus- ja avalikku sektorit puudutavaid teemasid nagu IFRS17 rakendamine ning riskid ja võimalused, mis kaasnevad tehisintellekti kasutamisega.
Arutletakse aktuaaride võimekuse üle kujundada poliitikat vananeva rahvastiku ajastul ning aktuaaride värbamise ja koolitusega seotud väljakutsete üle, mida toob kaasa andmeteaduse üha laienev kasutamine.
Konverents on suunatud eelkõige professionaalidele nii kindlustussektorist (aktuaaridele, juhtidele, spetsialistidele) kui ka insur-teh ja avaliku sektori esindajatele. Esinema tulevad rahvusvaheliselt tunnustatud eksperdid ja osalema ootame lisaks Balti riikidele külalisi ka mujalt maailmast.
Aktuaariteadus ühendab endas teadmisi matemaatikast, statistikast ning majandus- ja arvutiteadusest. Aktuaarid rakendavad reaalaineid praktikasse finants- ja kindlustussektoris, aga ka investeerimisvaldkonnas. Nad töötavad riigiametites, akadeemilises sfääris ning järelevalveasutustes.
Eestis ja teistes Balti riikides leidub aktuaare eelkõige kindlustussektoris, kus nad tegutsevad andmeanalüütikutest tippjuhtideni. Lisaks on aktuaaridel kaalukas sõna ettevõtte finantsilise jätkusuutlikkuse osas, sh tuleviku kohustuste võime osas klientide ees.
EAL-i eesmärgiks on Eesti aktuaaride haridustaseme ning professionaalsete oskuste hoidmine. Aktuaaride järelkasvu osas teeme koostööd Tartu Ülikooliga finants- ja kindlustusmatemaatika magistriprogrammi arendamisel. EAL pakub oma liikmetele täiendõpet eesmärgiga hoida Eesti täisliikme staatust rahvusvahelistes erialaliitudes ning võimalust osaleda rahvusvaheliste aktuaaride liitude töögruppides ja komiteedes.

Estonian Actuarial Society 25th Anniversary Conference
As one of the world's most digitally advanced societies, our country is experiencing rapid growth in novel digital businesses and technologies. This includes the widespread adoption of data science, machine learning, and AI across various sectors of the economy. Alongside other European nations, Estonia is also witnessing a continuous increase in life expectancy, leading to new challenges in retirement, pension management, and senior healthcare.
To mark its anniversary, the Estonian Actuarial Society will host a conference addressing these critical issues impacting Estonian actuaries and the insurance industry. The conference will take place on September 27, 2024, in Tallinn. The conference is organized in conjunction with the semi-annual meetings of the International Actuarial Association that take place in Tallinn between the 26th and 30th of September.
Insurance industry leaders, along with academia and research experts, will debate the current industry topics:
• Challenges in development of the next generation of actuaries amidst the growing adoption of data science in the market
• The risks and opportunities around AI adoption in the insurance industry, and the potential impact of AI-related regulations
• Building a better society for everybody – how could actuaries contribute more to public health, people’s financial security and well-being in the era of ageing population
• IFRS17 implementation – How the new reporting standard is impacting corporate management and business steering after the first IFRS17 reporting period? Is the new reporting transparent and comparable enough for the financial stakeholders?
We invite actuaries, insurance industry professionals, insurtech, public sector representatives, and other decision-makers to attend the conference. We are expecting guests and speakers from the Baltic countries, as well as from across Europe and beyond.
