Support Letter for the project “Strategies for transformation and sustainable repair of the built
environment (EU-REPAIR)” submitted for the EU-KI call - March 2024
Through this letter, we express our support for the project" Strategies for transformation and sustainable
repair of the built environment (EU-REPAIR)" aimed at creating activities and strategies for
transformation of the built environment in European countries in the area of climate action, adaptation,
and resilience. This application, submitted for the EU-KI, call-March 2024, is particularly relevant since
it aims to:
1. Transfer the knowledge for climate change-related topics in the built environment through
innovative approaches such as trainings, events, hackathons, competitions, focused on local
built environmental challenges faced in the Balkans and Baltic region.
2. Build the expertise and competencies of professionals, students, professors and trainers
(Engineers, Architects, Craftsman, Builders) to deliver quality courses, research projects, and
outreach activities focused on climate change adaptation and resilience processes of the built
environment.
3. Provide opportunities for organisations in the Balkans and Baltic to collaborate and network
on built environment and climate change education initiatives.
The Ministry and its members will provide institutional support to Estonian Academy of Arts in
carrying out the project “Strategies for Transformation and Sustainable Repair of the Built Environment”
in particular by:
- participating as advisory and expert to help explore the impact of the proposed
research based on the experiences our members,
- facilitating stakeholders’ engagement and supporting the dissemination of the
project knowledge, transfer activities and results in particular,
- supporting the project by all other means our organisation is able to provide in
strengthening the effectiveness and visibility of the project.
This letter conveys our enthusiasm for the EU-REPAIR project and our readiness to contribute to its
success.
Sincerely,
Märt Volmer
