INVITATION
Subject: Meeting of the contact persons for national justice systems, Brussels,
10 October 2024
Dear Madam, Dear Sir,
This is an invitation to the next meeting of the Contact persons for national justice
systems, which will take place on Thursday, 10 October 2024 from 10.00 AM to
17.00 PM CEST, at the Centre de Conférences Albert Borschette (CCAB) Room 1D
(Rue Froissart 36, 1040 Brussels).
This meeting will be an opportunity to reconnect in person after one year. We would like
to encourage you to participate in person. We are developing the agenda in a way, which
will invite group discussions and encourage more feedback throughout the sessions. The
meeting agenda will follow.
We are pleased to confirm that the costs of travel and accommodation for one contact
person representing the judiciary and one representing the Ministry of Justice per
Member State, can be reimbursed. Following your confirmation in the AGM (Advanced
Gateway Meetings) system, indicating you will be participating in person, you can
proceed to booking your own accommodation and travel, for which you will
subsequently be able to claim reimbursement, again via AGM. It is, therefore, very
important for everyone to have an EU login account and a functioning access to AGM.
The meeting hours have been scheduled to allow you to arrive and leave Brussels on the
meeting day. However, if you need to spend one night before the meeting or/and one
night after the meeting in Brussels due to transport time being incompatible with the
meeting hours, you will be entitled to hotel cost reimbursement up to €168 per night.
As regards travel expenses, for journeys under 400 km (one way), the Commission can
reimburse a first-class railway ticket. For distances over 400 km, economy class air travel
will be reimbursed. If you intend to use your private car, the journey will be reimbursable
at the same rate as a first-class rail ticket or by default at the rate of €0.22 per km.
For those of you, who will not be able to travel to Brussels, there will of course be a
possibility to join the meeting online via Interactio through a link, which we will
2
distribute at a later stage before the meeting, along with the final agenda. Please confirm
your participation in AGM, too, and indicate digital attendance.
We will be grateful to receive your confirmations in AGM by Friday, 27 September at
the latest.
For any questions, whether related to the program of the meeting or the logistical
arrangements, please contact [email protected].
We are very much looking forward to the meeting and to seeing many of you in Brussels.
Yours sincerely,
(e-signed)
Florian GEYER
