The Honourable Villu Kõve
Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Estonia
Dear Mr President,
The Supreme Court of Slovenia is organizing the 13th Annual Conference of Best Practices
in the Slovenian Judiciary, which will take place at the Brdo Congress Centre, Slovenia on
5 December 2024. The conference will showcase the ongoing efforts of Slovenian courts to
enhance their operations and boost efficiency. This includes presenting examples of business
process reforms that have improved workflow and court management practices. The focus
of this year's event will be on time management (time frames) and ways to ensure the timely
administration of justice.
In this context, the Organizing Committee has acknowledged the Estonian judiciary as
a model of efficiency, renowned for its implementation of highly effective measures and
consistently ranking among the top judicial systems in Europe. We are particularly interested
in learning how Estonia has achieved these results, specifically through the implementation
of tools for time management in either case-file or court management. We are also interested
in understanding the role of Court Presidents in promoting and enforcing time management
measures. Insights into the methods and technologies adopted by Estonia in field of court
management and integration of advanced digital solutions that have streamlined processes
and improved the overall functionality of the judiciary will be highly valuable for the
conference’s discussions on enhancing judicial efficiency.
Dear Mr President, I would like to extend an invitation for you to participate as a speaker
at the Conference. For organizational purposes, we kindly request that you confirm your
participation until Friday, 11 October 2024, at [email protected].
