4) EI PA Ms Liisa-Ly Pakosta Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs Suur-Ameerika 1 10122 TALLINN ESTONIA
Luxembourg, 26 September 2024
Dear Ms Pakosta,
The European Centre for Judges and Lawyers, the EIPA Luxembourg Centre, has been a trusted provider of practice-oriented training and capacity-building, with a focus on the interpretation, transposition, and application of EU law for more than 25 years.
Our mission is to support the EU, its Member States, and the countries associated with EIPA by providing relevant and high quality services to develop the capacities of public officials in dealing with EU affairs, including the interpretation and application of EU law in the administration ofjustice.
We are convinced that the most effective way to increase our impact is to engage in an open dialogue with our stakeholders, especially those present in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
To give you an impression of our activities and services, we enclose our Annual Report for 2023. It reflects our commitment to providing relevant and timely services in learning & development, technical assistance and research to public professionals. In 2023, we implemented over 600 activities, both paid and free of charge, for 12.500 participants. We also attach our 2024 course overview, which includes our training offer relevant to the legal sector.
To iUustrate how we support integration and cooperation through law, we would like to highlight the contract activities that our legal experts undertake for DC JUST whereby we support judicial training and studies on EU Iaw and judicial cooperation in the EU.
Our Centre implements trainings and technical assistance for various stakeholders. One example is our annual Convention with the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, where we support European integration efforts of countries that have applied for EU Membership or have concluded EU association agreements.
Additionally, in collaboration with the University of Lorraine in France we run a Master of European Legal Studies (MELS Onhine) programme, building a community of legal professionais from across Europe.
We are committed to expand our impact and further support our Member States and stakeholders. For this reason, we would highly appreciate the opportunity to welcome you at our premises in Luxembourg or to visit you at your offices to present our work to you in more detail and discuss how we could cooperate.
With our best regards,
L 10 -i- 202
