Dear Sir/Madam, On behalf of the Director-General, I have the pleasure of inviting your country to participate in the 34th session of the Intergovernmental Council of the International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC). The meeting will be held at UNESCO Headquarters in Room X of the Fontenoy Building, with the possibility of remote participation, on 21 and 22 November 2024. Please find enclosed the provisional agenda for the meeting. As per the IPDC Rules of Procedure, the meeting documents will be available six weeks before the meeting on the IPDC website: https://en.unesco.org/programme/ipdc/documents. The meeting will be conducted in the six working languages of the Organization. As per the Statutes of the Intergovernmental Council of the IPDC (Article 2.6), “the persons appointed by Member States as their representatives on the Council shall preferably be specialists in the fields covered by the International Programme for the Development of Communication”.
