On behalf of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia, we are pleased to invite you to the international conference titled “The Role of Constitutional Courts in Ensuring the Resilience of Common European Values in the Face of Contemporary Challenges” which will take place on 24–25 April 2025, in Riga, Latvia. The conference is organised within framework of the project “Support to development of the constitutional justice in Ukraine”, implemented within the European Union and Council of Europe Joint Programme “Partnership for Good Governance”. The conference will consist of two panel sessions. The first panel session will address challenges to democracy, the rule of law, and pluralism, while the second will focus on human dignity, freedoms, and respect for human rights.
Please, note that registration for the conference is 24 January 2025.

Registration of participants will take place: 24 April from 16:00–18:30
in the lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn Riga Old Town
25 April from 09:00–09:20 in the lobby of the conference venue (The House of the Black Heads)
Participants are kindly asked to wear their badges throughout the conference. Badges will also serve as admission to the reception and lunch.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE There will be no official transport service for arrival and departure. A taxi stand is located in front of the airport building. The price for a taxi ride from the airport to the hotel should not exceed EUR 35.

INTERPRETATION
No official transportation arrangements are foreseen during the conference. Conference venue is within walking distance from the hotel. Participants will be guided to the conference venue by the organisers (distance 100 m).
The working languages of the conference will be Latvian and English. The following interpreting will be provided: Channel I – Latvian Channel II – English Channel III – Ukrainian In case your equipment fails to function, please ask the technical personnel in the meeting room to assist you.
