Dear Chief Justice Kõve,

I hope this letter finds you well.

I would like to update you that I have recently retired from my position as Acting

President of the Supreme Court of Israel, upon reaching the mandatory retirement age

for judges according to Israeli law.

My year-long tenure as Acting President has not been without complications, given the

difficult times we have been experiencing in Israel. During this time, we have

endeavored to uphold our Judiciary's professional ties with our counterparts abroad,

and I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in maintaining our constructive

judicial dialogue.

Until a new President is appointed, Justice Isaac Amit will be serving as the new Acting

President of the Israeli Supreme Court. I hope that the connections between our

respective Courts will grow and strengthen in the future.
