Letter of Support for Open Estonia
Foundation in call CERV-2024-
CITIZENS-VALUES
To whom it may concern, Hereby Ministry of the Interior as the ministry responsible for civil society development in
Estonia expresses support for the Open Estonia Foundation (Avatud Eesti Fond SA) and Praxis Think Tank (Poliitikauuringute Keskus Praxis SA) in their participation in the call for proposals
for civil society organisations active on protecting and promoting Union values: call to intermediaries giving financial support to third-party civil society organizations (CERV-2024- CITIZENS-VALUES) with their joint project proposal “Co-Creating EU: Fostering European
Values by Supporting and Empowering CSOs”.
Open Estonia Foundation has supported democracy, social cohesion, and development of active and sustainable civil society in Estonia for more than 30 years, by leading and participating in respective initiatives. They have notable experience in providing financial and other support to
civil society organisations, for example operating the Active Citizens Fund financed by the EEA Grants mechanism. Praxis Think Tank is an experienced and recognized socio-economic
research centre in Estonia, encouraging public debate, creating valuable knowledge and effective solutions for policymakers, civil society, and other interested parties.
The Ministry of Interior welcomes the participation of Open Estonia Foundation and Praxis Think Tank in the CERV-2024-CITIZENS-VALUES call, which is an important opportunity to support civil society organisations active in Estonia in protecting and promoting EU values ,
helping to achieve the goals set in national strategy “Cohesive Estonia 2030”.
Yours Sincerely,
(digitally signed)
