Tenth edition of the WHO report on the global tobacco epidemic: country sign-off consultation To support countries in developing and strengthening tobacco control policies and ensuring healthy lives and well-being for all at all ages, WHO initiated in 2008 a series of WHO reports on the global tobacco epidemic. Each successive report has tracked the status of the tobacco epidemic and the interventions introduced to combat it. We have completed the data collection for the tenth edition of the report and would like to share our analysis with countries. This will give you an opportunity to review the country-specific information intended for publication in the upcoming report and raise any possible concerns. To this end, we would greatly appreciate it if you could indicate who in the Ministry of Health is authorized to sign off on the country data for the global report. We will then contact the person with further details regarding the process. We kindly ask you to provide the following information:
• the name of the person authorized to sign off on the country data • their email address
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ms Elizaveta Lebedeva, WHO Consultant, Tobacco Control (email: [email protected]), who has daily responsibility for this activity.
