Dear Sir/Madam,

I am contacting you on behalf of Privacy Data Partners, an EU company proving external DPO services for worldwide controllers and processors in order to meet their personal data protection obligations.

I would like to know if the notification of the DPO to the Andmekaitse Inspektsioon is required for the following situation:

The controller or processor is not established in the European Union / Republic of Estonia but process personal data of data subjects within Estonia. This entity has appointed our company (registered in Romania) as their DPO and an EU representative located in another European Union (not in Estonia).

Specifically, my question is: does our client (controller or processor) need to notify their DPO (our company) to your authority Andmekaitse Inspektsioon?
