The Assistant Director-General for Administration and Management a.i.

Subject: Member States’ Assessed Contributions for 2025
Sir, Madam,
I have the honor to inform you that the Member States’ assessed contributions letters for 2025 are now available for:
- UNESCO’s regular budget, - The World Heritage Fund for the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, - The Fund for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The letters also contain the amounts due from prior years, if applicable. These amounts are due for immediate payment.
The letters are available online, in the same webspace as we provide the assessed contribution summary reports: https://www.unesco.org/en/member-states/assessed-contributions.
On the same webpage, a Technical Brochure (ref. BFM-157) is also available and provides the elements pertaining to the calculation of the contributions to UNESCO’s regular budget. For more information, please contact the Accounts Receivable unit at [email protected].
Prompt payment of assessed contributions is an obligation incumbent on Member States. On many occasions, the governing bodies expressed concerns on the financial situation of the Organization as a result of the non-payment of assessed contributions by some Member States and the severe implications thereof for the delivery of programme activities. They also repeatedly appealed to those Member States that are behind with the payment of their contributions to pay their arrears without delay.
The Director-General wishes to renew her appeal to all Member States to provide their 2025 assessed contributions as early as possible. She would greatly appreciate your Government’s every effort to ensure full and early payment of its contributions.
Please accept, Sir, Madam, the assurances of my highest consideration.
