Uno Lõhmus Memorial Conference

Honourable President Koen Lenaerts,

I am pleased to inform you that a conference in memory of Judge Uno Lõhmus will be held in Tallinn on l6 May 2025.

The conference is organised by the Supreme Court of Estonia, the Constitutional Law Foundation of the Estonian Academy of Sciences and the University of Tartu School of Law.

This event is dedicated to the memory of our esteemed colleague Uno Lõhmus and will reflect upon his diverse fields of activity and academic interests, including fundamental rights, constitutional review, European Union law, the relationship between national law and European Union law, criminal law and criminal procedure.

Due to financial constraints, the conference will be limited to an Estonian audience. However, given the significance of Uno's international career, we would kindly invite his closest friends and colleagues from abroad to contribute short video addresses which will be presented during the conference.

As Uno often recalled your close cooperation at the European Court of Justice, I would be honoured if you could consider contributing a video address to the conference. The address should be 3-5 minutes long and focus on your personal memories of working with Uno.
