ECDC NORMAL
TO: participants in ECDC’s sequencing support project for Salmonella and Campylobacter antimicrobial resistance
Dear colleagues,
Our sequencing support project for Salmonella and Campylobacter antimicrobial resistance is progressing well. Soon all participants have received their sequencing data. We would like to invite you to a one hour kick-off meeting where we will present the next steps and the additional support that you can receive.
Please add your availability to this Doodle poll by Monday 12 February EOB.
This kick-off meeting will be followed by bilateral meetings. In the bilateral meetings you will be given support on how to submit WGS data to TESSy using your own data, receive bioinformatics support and get acquainted with the EpiPulse Molecular Typing tool. With the results from the Molecular Typing Tool, you will get an overview of the resistance situation in your country, and also identify if your isolates belong to any multinational clusters, and/or have matches to isolates in EFSA’s database.
To be able to upload your data to TESSy and also to visualise and export your results from the Molecular Typing tool, you need access rights to TESSy for Salmonella isolates or salmonellosis, and for Campylobacter isolates or campylobacteriosis. To get TESSy access rights your National Coordinator needs to nominate you. We will go through our stakeholder management system to see who of you could be lacking access rights and contact you specifically on options how to solve this, where another option could be that you invite an Epi or Lab colleague with correct access rights to support with submitting data.
If you have questions, please contact [email protected]
Kind regards, Cecilia, Therese, Olov and Erik, FWD team and Microbiology Team
