To Whom It May Concern
The keel laying date of Ro-Ro passenger ship STAR I (IMO 9364722, Call Sign ESCJ) is
30.05.2006 and BNWAS system was installed on board before 01.07.2011.
Estonian Transport Administration hereby confirms that, under the authority of SOLAS 2009
Amendment to Ch. V Reg. 19.2.2.4, the BNWAS system of Ro-Ro passenger ship STAR I is
exempted from full compliance with SOLAS 2010 Amendment to Ch. V Reg. 18.
If the BNWAS system on Ro-Ro passenger ship STAR I will be replaced, this permission ceases
to be valid and new system has to comply fully with SOLAS 2010 Amendment to Ch. V Reg. 18.
