RE: Invitation to attend the CEP General Assembly 2025 and Conference

following the General Assembly

Dear Member of CEP,

On behalf of the CEP Board, I write to invite you to the 15th CEP General Assembly

that will take place in the morning of 15 October 2025 in Vienna, Austria, and will be

followed by an International Conference on Gender-based violence in Probation on

15-16 October 2025.

The items to be discussed at the General Assembly are particularly important in

relation to the future of CEP. As you are aware, CEP has expanded its activities

considerably over the past years. This was made possible through a sound financial

policy, based on membership fees, successfully obtaining an EU Operating Grant,

delivering activities aligned with funding priorities and members’ interests and

organising cost effective conferences and other events.

The substantial items on the agenda will include:

• the revision of the CEP Statute and Internal Regulations,

• the report on the activities of CEP since the previous General Assembly,

• the goals and activities of CEP for the next three years,

• the election of new CEP Board members, including Vice-Presidents and

President, • the approval of new members,

• the financial statement and budget updates.

I would like to emphasize that your participation at the General Assembly is very

important to ensure that the best decisions are made regarding the governance and

future direction of CEP. I therefore kindly ask you to reserve the dates in your diary for your attendance.

Conference

The conference on Gender-based violence in Probation is going to take place in

the afternoon of Wednesday 15 October and morning of 16 October 2025. The

programme will consist of plenaries, a series of workshops on specific topics as well

as a round table with professionals from across Europe. The registration will open

soon.

CEP Awards Ceremony

In the past few weeks we invited you to submit nominations for the next edition of

the CEP Awards. The awards celebrate outstanding contributions to probation and

reflect the CEP’s vision - to contribute to safer communities by rehabilitating and

reintegrating offenders and providing the best possible interventions to reduce re- offending and the impact of crime. Nominations are open by 30 April 2025.
