1 am pleased to inform you that an upcoming workshop on SME Digital Transformation Strategies, coordinated by Taiwan’s International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF), is scheduled to take place fi’om April 15 to 24, 2025, and we are now accepting applications.
The workshop aims to provide insights into strategies and practical approaches for SME digital transformation in Taiwan, enhancing participants’ understanding of the benefits of digitalization. The tentative agenda includes discussions on Taiwan’s government policy support and initiatives for business transformation, digital transforrnation strategies, and a pane! discussion with industry !eaders.
This event wiIl serve as a forum for experience sharing and robust discussions among officia!s from the Ministry of Econorny, business owners, and mid-to-senior executives seeking to pursue digital transformation. ICDF wiII cover the cost of a round-trip economy class air ticket, lodging, rneals, Iocal transportation, and a daily stipend of NT$700 (€20.2) for attendees during their stay in Taiwan.

Overview Digitalization has become a key accelerator of giobal economic development. This workshop introduces the concept of integrating digita) technologies into businesses, shares successful digital transformation case studies from Taiwan’s SMEs, and explores improvements in organizational culture, talent development, digital plattorms, and business modeis. By aligning products and services with market and customer needs, this workshop aims to assist partner countries in enhancing their sustainable development capabilities in giobal trade.
Objectives O Understand the strategies and practical approaches for SME digital transformation in
Taiwan, enhancing parlicipanls’ awareness of the beneflts of digitalization. O Explore innovative applications (such as Al, )oT, and big data) across different
industries. O Assist participants in identifying opportunities and challenges for SME digital
transformation by drawing ur i successful experiences and deve!oping concrete transformation assessments and plans.
Contents O Government Policies and Resources: Learn about Taiwan’s policy
support and initiatives for business transformation, such as promoting smart and Iow-carbon transitions, improving factory infrastructure, and providing project-based Ioans.
O Digital Transformation Strategies: Discover how to utilize digital tools to reduce operationa( costs, how to integrate traditional labor with digital innovation (e.g, AI—powered paint mixing and customized fragrance creation). Gain hands-on experience with technology tools to optimize business operations and explore innovative solutions that enable partner countries to gradua1y transform business modeis and corporate culture, airning for sustainable development.
O Enterprise Penal Discussion: Participate in discussions with Taiwanese enterprises that have successfuHy undergone digital transformation, including food processing, manufacturing and retail industries, and explore how to build innovative business value.
Issues this workshop wiII address O How SMEs can overcome common challenges in digital transformation,
such as resource constraints, talent gaps, and corporate culture. O How digita transformation can drive sustainable development and
enhance giobal competitiveness.
Who may apply O Backgrounds: Those aged 20 and above who are senior officials from
government agencies responsible for SME development or enterprise support, business owners or mid-to-senior executives frorn companies seeking to pursue digital transformation, with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
