Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Estonia [email protected] Response regarding Ukrainian translations To the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Estonia, We are writing regarding your letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia and your request for translated Estonian legislation into Ukrainian. Your letter has been forwarded to the Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs as we are, among other matters, responsible for translating parliamentary Acts. We have translated five Acts into Ukrainian, you can see them on our page Закони Естонії українською мовою. However, as you can see, these are first and foremost for facilitating life in Estonia. However, all parliamentary Acts in Estonia have been translated into English and as with Ukrainian translations, these are being constantly kept updated wording by wording. We suggest reading the English translations, making the most of the opportunities afforded by machine translation and perusing the ministerial websites and the articles and information they have published in English as well as in Estonian. In terms of foreign investments, we have the Foreign Investment Reliability Assessment Act. Whilst we translate all parliamentary acts, we do not translate ministerial regulations, and these are published only in Estonian. This policy sector falls under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, see more on Assessing the credibility of foreign investments. Also, websites like that of Enterprise Estonia and Invest Estonia might be useful. The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications have published numerous growth, policy and strategic plans, including the Foreign Investments Strategy 2023-2030, see more from their Strategy Academy and all linked materials. These include materials on tourism as well. Public-private partnerships (PPP) are regulated across all legal instruments and across all policy sectors, the Principles and Guidelines for PPP Projects (in Estonian) are set out by the Ministry of Finance. Logistic, science and industrial parks fall under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications as per the Government of the Republic Act, see also the institutions administrated by the ministry and Economic growth plan 2025 point 1.4 (Majanduse kasvu kava 2025). Defence industrial parks, of course, fall under the Ministry of Defence. The tourism sector, with Acts like the Tourism Act, also falls under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, see for example the Strategic focuses of tourism. Although we do not have materials in Ukrainian to share, we hope you will find the included links and articles useful. A lot of information is publicly accessible in English, from news outlets to public websites and machine translation might help a great deal in terms of searching for relevant information. Of course, you can always contact the mentioned ministries directly regarding their policy sectors. Yours sincerely,
